Chilka Lake is grouped by birds who choose to stay in the winter season.  Birds from Iran, Siberia and Central Asia visit the lake.  Large populations in this lake include grilled geese, purple moraines, flamingos, Brahminy kites, spot-build pelicans, bar-headed fart, open-build storks, pintails, kingfishers, egrets, avocets, gulls, terns, herons, and white-bells.  Sea eagles are found.

The village named Mangalajodi is famous for Chilka region due to things like fishing.  East Coast This beautiful village is home to various bird species along with extinct and rare birds.  Mangalajodi is named after twin temples.  The 250-year-old temple near it is the Raghunath Temple religious place.

This temple is a very attractive temple situated on an island of Chilka Lake.  Goddess Kaliji is worshiped in Kalijai temple.  These temples are very revered among the local people.  The island is also an attractive destination for pilgrims as well as tourists.  If you want to see this temple then you can reach here by boat from Chilka Lake.  Many travelers and devotees come here on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti.  This festival is celebrated with great pomp in it.

Dolphin Point is a special place in Satpada Puri district.  The word Satpada in which Sat means "seven" and Pada means "village", hence this word means group of seven villages.  Dolphin Point is located 50 km from Puri.  Tourists can spot dolphins such as the Irrawaddy Dolphin, Common Dolphin, Bottle Nose and White l Dolphin at this place.
