Who Is Naveen Patnaik?
Naveen Patnaik is a well-known politician of India and the current Chief
Minister of Odisha. Naveen Patnaik, who run the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) to a win
victory in the 2014 Odisha Legislative Assembly elections, was on oath in as
Chief Minister on May 21, 2014, for the fourth successive term. Naveen Patnaik
is the first Chief Minister of Odisha to develop the Chief Minister for the
fourth successive time. Biju Janata Dal founder and veteran leader Naveen
Patnaik of Orissa is the son of ex-Chief Minister Biju Patnaik. Naveen Patnaik
was born on 16 October 1946 in Cuttack, Odisha. His father was ex Odisha Chief
Minister Biju Patnaik and mother Gyan Patnaik. He was cultivated at Doon School
and later finished his Bachelor of Arts degree from Kirori Mal College, Delhi.
Naveen Patnaik is also a writer and spent his youth almost away from Politics
and Odisha. After the death of his father Naveen Patnaik in 1997, he offered
into politics and a year later recognized the Biju Janata Dal in the name of
his father Biju Patnaik. The Biju Janata Dal then gained the assembly elections
and shaped a government with the BJP in which he turns into the Chief
Minister. He started the 'fight against corruption' and 'pro-poor policies' in
his own method. He made his father's vision of progress of the state the foundation
of his growth by correctly handling the government. Similarly, he gained admiration
in Odisha and prospered in becoming the Chief Minister with full provision base
five times in a row. Naveen Patnaik's name holds the record of becoming the
longest-serving Chief Minister in Odisha's antiquity. He is still single.

Politics Entry of Naveen Patnaik
Naveen Patnaik linked politics after the death of his father in
the year 1996. In the year 1996, he was chosen to the 11th Lok Sabha in the
by-election of Aska assembly constituency as a Janata Dal candidate. He was an
associate of the Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Steel and Mines in
the Lok Sabha and the Standing Committee on Commerce. In 1997, Naveen Patnaik
shaped the Janata Dal and the Biju Janata Dal. He won the assembly elections in
Odisha in 2000 in association with BJP. Naveen Patnaik, who helped as the
Minister of Mines in the BJP-led NDA government, submissive from the Union
Cabinet and was on oath in as the Chief Minister of Odisha. Naveen Patnaik
expected the post of Chief Minister again in the year 2004 after winning the
assembly elections in alliance with BJP. However, Kandhamal district also saw
communal ferocity in 2007 due to their alliance with the BJP. In 2009, the BJD
did not ally with the NDA and aligned with the Left parties before the Rajya
Sabha elections. The BJD won both Lok Sabha as well as Assembly elections. The
BJD won 14 of the 21 Lok Sabha seats and 103 of the 147 seats in the assembly.
Some MPs of Patnaik's party, BJD, have been accused of
involvement in the chit fund scam and were questioned in 2014 by the CBI. The
CBI is investigating more than 30 companies in connection with this multi-crore
financial scam that has robbed the poor of lakhs of states. His lifetime
savings were questioned due to Patnaik's silence on the issue and the proximity
of many such businesses, such as those photographed by a company during the
launch of a news channel.
